In the Kitchen

This morning was all about homemade foods.

First up- Homemade Granola Bars.

I used a recipe that I found on pinterest, but you can find the recipe here, at Back to the Cutting Board. In order to make these granola bars, I first made the granola that Emily suggested in her recipe. The recipe for the granola can be found here, at Fake Ginger. The first batch I made, the only seeds/nuts I added were the sunflower seeds. I like the way it turned out, so I made another batch, but without the seeds this time. WOW! It was so incredibly tasty that I am surprised there was any left this morning to make the granola bars.

But there was.

So, we made the granola bars, and I made a third batch of granola as I had yogurt with granola in it for breakfast. Think I may have found my new favorite food...

That is until Emma and I made some tortillas.

Oh. My. Yummy. We used another pinterest find for these. The actual recipe can be found at here. The tortillas got finished up about lunch time. So naturally, Emma and I each had one for lunch. Emma had hers with some hard boiled egg and granola bar, and, yup, I had the same.

An excellent lunch it was.

While working on the tortillas, we were also working on making some pizza dough for our dinner tonight. Instead of making just dough, though, I decided to try out another recipe we found on pinterest. Here is the link to the original recipe. I decided to also try out the pizza bites on the same post.

After all the bread items were finished, we decided to walk to the post office to send a package to our friends in Tucson.

We really had a great day. Now it's time to get the pizza bites into the oven.
